Everton have won just once in their last 10 matches.
Ronald Koeman has admitted that Everton’s lack of attacking threat is starting to become a problem at his press conference, which was broadcast on the club’s official Youtube channel.
Everton have won just once in their last 10 matches, and they have slipped down to ninth place in the Premier League table.
The Toffees’ latest defeat came against Watford at Vicarage Road, after they put in another poor performance.
Even though Romelu Lukaku scored a brace, Everton were not able to hold on to their advantage.
And Koeman claims that Everton’s attacking players need to start contributing more to help the team.
“I’m very pleased [with Romelu]. That is one of his qualities, to score goals even in a bad run,” the Dutch boss said.
“It’s good for his confidence, but we need more. We need more from our offensive players. We need more productivity out of the midfield and more out of the other strikers. That is one of the problems that we have.”
Everton have scored 19 goals in their first 15 Premier League matches this season, and Koeman still doesn’t seem to have found his best attacking line-up.
Koeman has regularly rotated Everton’s attacking players, with the likes of Ross Barkley, Kevin Mirallas and Gerard Deulofeu all having to spend time on the substitutes’ bench.
Everton are next in action on Tuesday evening, when they take on Arsenal at Goodison Park.
