The Saints boss took to social media after a 1-0 loss at Leicester.
Ronald Koeman vented his frustration on Twitter on Sunday afternoon as Southampton lost 1-0 at Leicester City.
Claudio Ranieri’s men won thanks to a Wes Morgan goal but Koeman was upset with Southampton’s ‘sloppy start’ and the fact he felt Leicester should have been penalised twice inside the danger area.
He tweeted after the game:
In truth, things got to a point at the King Power Stadium where yet another 1-0 Leicester win looked simply inevitable.
Danny Simpson and co were instrumental in keeping Southampton out, while the Saints were equally solid at the back when it came to denying the Foxes another goal.
Southampton just didn’t show anywhere near enough in front of goal and the two handball incidents Koeman was referring to would have been very harsh penalties indeed to award.
Next up for Southampton is a home clash against Newcastle United – a considerably easier task. Leicester’s title bid, meanwhile, continues with a visit to Sunderland next weekend.
