Everton are reportedly interested in signing the Manchester United winger in January.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed on Twitter that he was at the Netherlands’ clash with Belgium last night.
The Blues boss was rumoured to be travelling to the game and has confirmed as much with his latest post on Twitter.
He is a big Netherland’s fan, having played 78 games for his country in an 11-year spell during his playing career.
It is no surprise to see him catching their game during the international break then, but was he there with another plan in mind?
Could he have actually been at the game with a plan to run the rule over one of his potential January transfer targets?

The man in question is Memphis Depay, who the Liverpool Echo claim Koeman is planning to make a move for in the January transfer window.
The winger is out of favour at Manchester United and the newspaper claims Everton’s manager believes he could get the best out of him.

If that is the case, then this game would have been the ideal opportunity for the Dutchman to see the winger in action; especially given he has managed just 20 minutes in the Premier League for United this season.
His trip will not have been a wasted one; Depay was given a 23-minute run out in the second half but he was unable to influence proceedings too much.
Of course Koeman is unlikely to have been convinced on the back of that but perhaps this trip was the start of this rumour becoming a reality in January.
