Everton manager Ronald Koeman has suggested that he and the club will decide whether or not to bring on-loan defender Brendan Galloway back to Goodison Park in January, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Galloway was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion in the summer transfer window for the entirety of the season, but has so far suffered frustration at The Hawthorns.

Under Tony Pulis the versatile 20-year-old has made just three Premier League appearances, likely to the chagrin of both the player and the Toffees as Galloway’s development is stalled.

That has led to suggestions that Koeman could look to bring back the England Under-21 international long before the end of the campaign to involve him in his own matchday squads.

However, when asked by reporters whether he was looking to cut short Galloway’s loan spell, Koeman said, as reported by the Echo: “At the moment not.

“We will wait until January and before January we will make up our mind what is the best for the player, because he’s still an Everton player.”

Galloway was considered a promising prospect at Goodison Park, and made 19 appear5ances in all competitions last season before his campaign was cut short by injury.

Bright things are hoped for his future, and to see him sitting on the bench, or even left out of Pulis’ squads, will please nobody at Everton.
