Everton finally completed a deal to bring Sigurdsson to Goodison Park from Swansea City earlier this week.
The two clubs had been negotiating for the Icelandic international all summer, but finally settled on a price a few days ago.

Sigurdsson has barely featured over pre-season for Swansea, with Paul Clement’s men knowing that the attacking midfielder’s departure was inevitable.
And Koeman admits that Sigurdsson may not be in optimum condition yet.
“We will do some tests on how his physical state is,” Koeman said. “But he told me that he did training, and played one time, 45 minutes in a friendly, and he needs game time. But if it’s game time that will be for the first-team.
“I don’t know if he is involved in Monday [against Manchester City]. We will make that decision Sunday.”
Sigurdsson is expected to have a huge role to play at Everton, after becoming the Merseyside outfit’s record signing.
The 28-year-old was one of the most productive play makers in the Premier League last term, and should add increased creativity to Everton’s team.
Sigurdsson was in the stands at Goodison Park last night, as the Toffees beat Hajduk Split 2-0 in Europa League qualifying.
