Everton manager Ronald Koeman has swooped to sign Michael Keane.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has told the club’s official website that he thinks the signing of Michael Keane is ‘really exciting’ for the Toffees.
Everton had secured five deals already this summer by landing Jordan Pickford, Nathangelo Markelo, Davy Klaassen, Henry Onyekuru and Sandro Ramirez, but they made it six late on Monday night.

Defender Michael Keane, 24, has joined Everton on a five-year contract from Burnley, after the clubs agreed a deal which could reach £30million.
The centre back came up through the ranks with boyhood club Manchester United, but moved on loan to Burnley in order to play first-team football in 2014, eventually penning a permanent deal just months later.
Keane has now developed into one of English football’s top defenders, helping Burnley win promotion in 2016 and then stay in the top flight last season, whilst becoming an England international too.
With just one year left on his Burnley contract though, Keane has decided it’s time to move on, and he will now partner Ashley Williams in the heart of the Everton defence.
Now, manager Ronald Koeman has spoken to the club’s official website, claiming that Keane was near the top of Everton’s summer wish list amid rival interest in his signature.

Koeman added that he thinks Keane is a ‘really exciting’ signing because there is so much more to come from the centre back, and he can’t wait to see him develop and improve at Goodison Park.
“Michael was high among the players we wanted to bring to Everton this summer and I’m delighted he is here at the Club,” said Koeman. “We knew there would be competition from other clubs but Michael believes in the ambition of Everton and what we want to do and this is the perfect moment for him to come.”
“I believe there is much more to come from Michael and that’s what makes his signing really exciting for me – we will see his development as a player along with the progression overall within the Club. It’s another really positive sign of the direction the Club is moving in. He’s 24 years old, his best years are to come, he’s an England international, too, and I couldn’t be more pleased that he’s now a Blue,” he added.
