Everton are still in the market for new signings this summer.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has told the Liverpool Echo that he is expecting ‘one or two’ more signings after a busy summer transfer window.
The Toffees kicked off their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 win over Kenyan side Gor Mahia in Tanzania, with Wayne Rooney and Kieran Dowell finding the net.
Rooney is just one of a host of signings Everton have made this summer, with the England international the most high-profile following his return to Goodison Park from Manchester United.

Rooney is joined by fellow new signings Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez, whilst Nathangelo Markelo and Boris Mathis will join the Everton Under-23’s, and winger Henry Onyekuru joined from Eupen before being loaned straight out to Anderlecht.
Everton have been one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the transfer market this summer – and there could yet be more new arrivals to come.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has spoken to the Liverpool Echo about his squad, and confirmed that he is expecting another ‘one or two’ new signings to come in after a busy summer.
Koeman noted that it’s important to get players in quickly so they can learn how Everton play, and he drew attention to the start of the Europa League qualifiers too, when he wants his squad completely assembled.

“We are close to having the right squad,” said Koeman. “We did really good business, brought really good players who will make the team stronger and give the team competition. We are expecting maybe one or two players more to come in. It’s really important to already have the players in (when the season starts) because they need the adaptation, to learn how we like to play.”
“And of course we know that we need to be ready in two weeks for the start of the Europa League qualifying. It’s good that most of the new signings are playing now for Everton, and it’s credit to the board of Everton that they did really good business, which is what the team needs,” he added.
Whilst Koeman says one or two signings, the reality may be more than that. Right back Cuco Martina is expected to arrive imminently, whilst fans may still want to see a left back, a winger and a striker brought in this summer, meaning Everton could get the chequebook out yet again.
