Everton are set to take on Stoke City at the BET 365 Stadium tomorrow.
Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Morgan Schneiderlin could make his first start for Everton against Stoke City tomorrow night on the club’s official website.
Schneiderlin was brought to Everton from Manchester United earlier this month, but the 27-year-old has had to be patient at Goodison Park so far.
Schneiderlin has played twice for Everton, but both his appearances so far have been as a late substitute.
Koeman was reluctant to change a winning team, even though he is eager to get the French international involved.
And it seems that Schneiderlin could be included in the Toffees starting line-up at the BET 365 Stadium tomorrow.
“It’s possible Morgan could start because he’s training and he’s in good condition,” he said.
“After the Manchester City game I chose not to make changes because everybody did a great job. But it’s possible I might change one or two positions (for Stoke).
“You need to choose your best team and maybe that’s based on a tactical reason, maybe it’s a reason about freshness.
“We know we have some big competition and that makes it difficult, particularly in the central-midfield positions.”
Everton head into the game against Stoke in good form, having won their last three Premier League matches.
The Toffees are now in seventh place, and they have closed the gap on Manchester United, who are directly above them, in recent weeks.
Schneiderlin is one of two January signings Everton have made, with Ademola Lookman also arriving from Charlton Athletic.
