Everton are expected to move for Manchester United’s Morgan Schneiderlin in the January transfer window.
Ronald Koeman has refused to speak about rumours linking Everton with Morgan Schneiderlin at his press conference, which was broadcast on the club’s official Youtube channel.
Everton are said to be interested in bringing in the Manchester United midfielder when the transfer window reopens (Daily Mirror).
And, although Koeman didn’t deny Everton’s interest, he would also not confirm if his side would be submitting a bid.
“I don’t speak about players,” he said, when asked whether Everton were about to bid for Schneiderlin.
“I spoke to the board and Steve Walsh and we have mentioned what kind of players we need to strengthen the squad in January. You will see what happens in the coming weeks.

“Of course, I know him. We worked one season together, and he moved to Manchester United.”
Koeman has previously confirmed that Everton are interested in signing Memphis Depay from Manchester United in January.
Schneiderlin has struggled to break into the Red Devils’ starting line-up since Jose Mourinho took charge, leading to suggestions that he could leave in the new year.

Everton are thought to be competing with West Bromwich Albion for the midfielder, who is valued at around £18 million (Daily Mirror).
Everton are expected to be active in the January transfer window, as they look to climb up the Premier League table.
The Toffees are currently in ninth place in the top flight standings, after a disappointing opening to the campaign.
