The Toffees have been linked with the Manchester United midfielder this week.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has refused to be drawn into discussing the growing speculation that the club will make a move for Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
A report from the Telegraph earlier this week suggested that Koeman was looking to re-sign his former Southampton star for a fee of around £20 million in next month’s transfer window.
Schneiderlin has played just twice in the league for United under Jose Mourinho so far this season, and it is thought that Everton are on the hunt for a new addition in central midfield.

However, when asked by reporters whether he was indeed targeting a reunion with Schneiderlin at Goodison Park, Koeman refused to be drawn into discussing the possibility of any bid.
Koeman said, as reported by the Liverpool Echo: “If I speak about players then I don’t tell you.
“No, I think every team is analysing the situation in the club and if we need players we will work on signing new players.”

Part of his reluctance to comment may well be the fact that he has already landed himself in hot water with United boss Jose Mourinho after publicly admitting that he would be interested in a move for winger Memphis Depay.
In fact, Koeman confirmed this, adding: “I wont make a second mistake and Jose is angry with me again for speaking about a player of Man United.”
Koeman is playing his cards close to his chest, but perhaps it would not be too much of a surprise to see a move for Schneiderlin materialise next month.
