Everton have advanced into the third round of the EFL Cup after hammering League Two side Yeovil Town on Tuesday evening.
The Toffees, who beat West Brom 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, continued their momentum with a comfortable win over Yeovil.

Aaron Lennon put Everton in front inside half an hour, and whilst it was only 1-0 at half time, Everton were at their best in the second half as Ross Barkley added a second goal, before substitute Arouna Kone notched a brace.
Tuesday’s win means that Koeman remains unbeaten as Everton boss in competitive fixtures, with a draw and two wins, putting together a strong start ahead of this weekend’s game against Stoke City.

There is plenty for manager Koeman to think about though, as after a slow start against West Brom on Saturday, Everton also took a little bit of time to get going against Yeovil – and the Dutchman took to Twitter after Tuesday’s game.
Koeman sent a message out to supporters, reflecting on a ‘comfortable win’ for his side, but did note an area of improvement for his players.
The ex-Southampton boss suggested that the tempo wasn’t high enough in the first half, but felt his side played well in general – and fans will no doubt be looking to see whether Everton’s first-half tempo improves against Stoke.
