The Merseyside outfit headed into the match against the Clarets on the back of a 4-2 victory over Leicester City at home.
Phil Jagielka, an own goal from Ben Mee and Romelu Lukaku made sure of the points for Everton against Burnley.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the win for the side.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, host Everton had 63% of the possession, took 29 shots of which seven were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Burnley had 37% of the possession, took 13 shots of which six were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
Everton are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 57 points from 33 matches.
