Everton beat Southampton 3-0 at Goodison Park on Monday afternoon.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has taken to Twitter after his side beat Southampton 3-0 at Goodison Park on Monday afternoon.
The Toffees had endured a frustrating 2-2 draw away at Hull City on Friday evening, and were looking to get back to winning ways as they returned to Goodison Park to take on Southampton.

After a disappointing first half, Everton took control after the break, with Enner Valencia opening the scoring with his first goal for the club, before Leighton Baines added a second from the penalty spot.
Striker Romelu Lukaku made it 3-0 late on to seal a convincing win for Everton, whilst also handing them a second clean sheet in the last three games.

Manager Koeman will have been particularly happy with the result given that he left Southampton to become Everton manager over the summer; a decision many questioned him over.
After the final whistle, the Dutchman took to Twitter to react to the win, celebrating a great start to 2017 and another clean sheet, noting that the second half performance ‘made the difference’ for Everton.
Everton fans then took to Twitter to respond to Koeman, with some praising him for starting young midfielder Tom Davies whilst praising the second half display.
Others looked towards this month’s transfer window, calling on Koeman to bring in new players, as well as allow the likes of Arouna Kone, Darron Gibson and Oumar Niasse to leave, but wanted answers about the future of out of favour winger Gerard Deulofeu.
