Everton manager Ronald Koeman has praised Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane scored twice as Everton suffered a 3-0 defeat at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Spurs striker failed to score a single goal in the month of August for his club, but hinted at returning to form whilst on international duty last week.
Against Everton, the 2016/17 Golden boot winner, scored twice to earn his side full three points.
The 24-year-old netted first with a fortunate cross from the right hand side. His second goal was a typical poacher’s finish from close range.
With those two goals, Kane has now scored 101 goals for his club, and in the process becomes the 17th player to have scored 100 goals for Spurs.
According to Opta Joe, it took Harry Kane 169 games to score 100 goals for Spurs, which is a tremendous achievement considering his age.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has spoken highly of Kane, and could only think of three strikers that are better than him at the moment, including Arsenal’s talisman Alexis Sanchez.
“Maybe after Messi and Ronaldo and Alexis Sanchez, and maybe one or two more, he is one of the best,” said Koeman, as quoted by Football London.
“Of course the first goal is a lucky one. I don’t think he was supposed to shoot the ball in the goal – I think it was a cross.”
Koeman has hailed him as a “top striker”, and he is impressed with Kane’s movement and finishing.
“But in his football he is really clever. He is using his body at the right time, his movements, his finishing. He is a top striker,” he added.
