Everton have loaned Gerard Deulofeu to AC Milan until the end of the season.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman has admitted that he doesn’t know where Gerard Deulofeu’s future lies at this moment in time, during his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the Toffees’ Periscope channel.
Everton loaned Deulofeu to AC Milan during the January transfer window, and the youngster has impressed in Serie A.
The young Spaniard has already become one of Milan’s most creative influences, and there is now talk that he could sign a deal at the San Siro.
As things stand, Deulofeu is set to return to Everton at the end of the season, but Koeman admits he does not know whether the winger will be at Goodison Park next campaign.
“I don’t know. We know until the end of the season that he’s still an Everton player, but after that we need to make a decision about what will happen,” the Dutch boss said.
“Every question about players for next season is not important at the moment.”
Deulofeu struggled at Everton over the early portion of the season, but his talent remains unquestioned.
The youngster has shown flashes of brilliance during his time with the Toffees, but has lacked the consistency required to hold down a first-team place.
At AC Milan, Deulofeu has scored once and claimed two assists in seven league appearances to date.
Since Deulofeu left Everton, the Toffees have only lost once in the Premier League, and they have moved up to seventh in the table.
