Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic has not played since pre-season.
Ronald Koeman has confirmed at his press conference, which was broadcast on Everton’s official Periscope channel, that Muhamed Besic could yet play a part for the Toffees this season.
Besic damaged his knee ligaments in pre-season, and was expected to be out for the entirety of the campaign.
However, the Bosnian could yet return ahead of schedule – as he has made good progress in training in recent weeks.

And Koeman says that a final decision over whether Besic will play this season will be made tomorrow.
“That decision we will make tomorrow [whether Besic will play this season],” the Dutch boss said. “He will be part of the under-23’s, but he still needs 90 minutes.”
If Besic does return this season, he is likely to be eased back into first-team life.

Everton will not want to take any risks with Besic’s recovery process, at a time where there is little pressure on them.
The Toffees look destined to finish in seventh place, after what has been a productive first season with Koeman in charge.
Everton are next in action at the weekend, when they take on relegation threatened Swansea City.
But the Toffees will be without Morgan Schneiderlin and James McCarthy – even though the pair are progressing well in their comebacks from injury.
“Morgan is improving, but he will not be fit for the weekend,” Koeman added. “McCarthy is close to being back, he is doing well.”
