Tom Davies has made six senior appearances for Everton to date.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman has told the Liverpool Echo that he is convinced Tom Davies will develop into a key player at Goodison Park.
Davies look to be one of the best players breaking through at the Merseyside club currently, with the youngster catching the eye at development squad level.
The central midfielder was brought on as a substitute for Everton in their most recent match against Leicester City, which the Toffees won 2-0.
And Koeman said: “I was very pleased with Tom, he did a great job.
“In the 20-25 minutes we put him on, the reason we put him on was to introduce a fresh player in that position, first to keep the ball and also to work and win battles.
“He is really aggressive. He is a young player but he will come. He has a big talent.”
Davies has now made six senior appearances for Everton, with Koeman showing faith in the youngster.
The energetic midfielder has never looked out of place in the first-team, and there are high hopes for his future at Goodison Park.
Davies is one of the a number of Everton youngsters which Koeman appears to believe could become first-team regulars in the years ahead – with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Mason Holgate also receiving opportunities.
Everton’s win over Leicester has lifted them up to seventh place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Hull City.
