Joel Robles made his first Premier League start of the season for Everton against West Ham United.
Ronald Koeman has told FourFourTwo that Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles was ‘fantastic’ against West Ham United.
Robles was called into Everton’s side to replace Maarten Stekelenburg in the Toffees’ goal, and despite a lack of action this season the Spaniard impressed.
Robles’ most eye catching save was from West Ham midfielder, Mark Nobles’ shot, as he flung himself across his goal to tip the long-range effort wide.

And Koeman had nothing but praise for the former Wigan Athletic stopper after the match, while he was also impressed with the two defenders which he brought into his starting line-up – Ramiro Funes Mori and Byran Oviedo.
“We made some changes. I think the goalkeeper [Joel Robles] played fantastically, while Funes and [Bryan] Oviedo did a good job,” Koeman said.
Everton’s victory over West Ham has ended a four-game winless streak, which had caused some frustration.

Everton scored their goals through Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley, as they picked up the three points.
Koeman’s side are now in sixth place in the Premier League table, and within touching distance of the top four.
Everton’s next match comes against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
