Ronald Koeman has finally been confirmed as the new Everton boss.

Everton’s new manager Ronald Koeman has told the Liverpool Echo that he ‘of course’ has a considerable transfer budget to work with this summer.
Koeman, 53, completed his protracted switch from Southampton to Goodison Park on Tuesday, with the Dutchman bringing an end to his two-year spell on the South Coast.
With two top seven finishes in the Premier League, Koeman has built up quite the reputation since his 2014 move from Feyenoord, and many even believe he is making a sideways move by joining an Everton side who have struggled for the last two years.
However, a huge factor in Koeman’s move is the money on offer. The Mirror recently reported that, thanks to Everton’s new shareholder Farhad Moshiri, Koeman will not only earn £6m a year in wages, but will also have a £100m transfer kitty to work with.
Already, transfer targets are being linked with big moves to Goodison Park, with The Guardian claiming interest in Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul and Zenit St. Petersburg ace Axel Witsel, whilst The Liverpool Echo suggest Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman is also wanted by Koeman.
With players being linked to the club, Koeman has been discussing the club’s transfer budget – and admitted there is money to spend on new signings this summer.
After suggesting the budget is enough to ‘make the team strong’, he needs more than money to succeed – he wants the fans, players, board and staff to all pull in same direction at Goodison Park.
“Of course, we have a budget to make the team strong but we will do this with all the people who are at Everton,” said Koeman. “You can’t do it by yourself, you need everybody pulling in the same direction – the fans, the players, the board, the staff – to get a very good family feeling and to reach something special,” he added.
