Everton could only manage to pick up a 2-2 draw with Apollon Limassol in the Europa League last night.

Ronald Koeman has stated that he has no problem with Everton fans booing their side, at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the club’s Periscope channel.

Everton supporters reacted angrily to their side’s failure to beat Apollon Limassol in the Europa League last night.

The Toffees players were booed off the pitch, which would have done little for their already fragile confidence.

However, Koeman insists that he has no complaints about the way that Everton fans have treated the players – as they are entitled to express their concerns.

He said, when asked about the booing at full-time last night: “I respect every opinion of the Everton fans. I

“t’s easy to support the team when the team is winning, it’s more difficult [now]. The fans are allowed to react and be frustrated. I also was frustrated yesterday.”

Everton named a strong line-up against Limassol, but it was still not enough to get them over the line.

The Toffees went behind early on, but responded through goals from Wayne Rooney and Nikola Vlasic.

At that point it seemed that Everton were edging towards taking the three points, but a late goal for the Cypriot visitors denied Koeman’s side what would have been an important victory.

Koeman is now under serious pressure at Goodison Park, with Everton’s form highly disappointing.

The Toffees are next in action when they take on Burnley, looking to secure their second league win in succession.
