Everton boss Ronald Koeman has fielded questions about Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson at his latest press conference.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on Everton’s official Facebook page, that he still wants to bring in three more new additions at Goodison Park.

Koeman claims that he hopes that Everton’s summer additions are not yet finished, despite bringing six new players to Merseyside.

The Dutch boss wants to bring in another centre-back, a striker and an unnamed player to Everton before the close of the transfer window.

He said, when asked if Everton’s summer business had finished: “I hope not.

“We know we lost Funes-Mori with a knee injury and we are looking to replace him. We brought Sandro Ramirez in and we try and get another striker in, and maybe one more.”

Everton have been strongly linked with Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson in The Guardian.

The Toffees have reportedly had a big money offer turned down for Sigurdsson.

And Koeman was keeping his cards close to his chest, when asked for an update on his pursuit of Icelandic international.

He added: “Yeah, but I don’t speak about names. There’s a lot of rumours and stories in the press.

“Of course, we have interest in the player.”

Everton’s influx of new additions ahead of the new season has created great excitement around Goodison Park, with high hopes for the campaign ahead.

The Toffees get their competitive season under way tomorrow, when they take on Ružomberok from Slovakia in Europa League qualifying.
