Everton signed Yannick Bolasie and Enner Valencia among others in the summer transfer window, but failed to bring in Moussa Sissoko.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has told Sky Sports that he found doing transfer business in the summer difficult.
Koeman was appointed the Everton manager in the summer following his departure from Premier League rivals Southampton at the end of the 2015-16 season.
The Merseyside outfit were quite busy in the summer transfer window and made a number of signings.

Maarten Stekelenburg, Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Williams, Yannick Bolasie and Enner Valencia (on loan from West Ham United) all joined the Toffees.
Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar and John Stones were among the players who left Everton in the summer.
Koeman has explained why Everton could not complete their transfer business earlier.
The Dutchman has admitted that the transfer fees and the players’ salaries proved difficult to negotiate.

Moussa Sissoko was also on Everton’s radar, as reported by BBC Sport, but the France international midfielder joined Tottenham Hotspur from Championship club Newcastle United on transfer deadline day.
“I gave myself time to analyse the squad in the pre-season, and that’s one reason why we did the business late,” Koeman told Sky Sports.
“The business is difficult because of the money, the salary of players, but finally I think we did some good business, except the last day with the situation of Moussa Sissoko.
“Overall, we did a good job, and we brought players in that we need, like Yannick Bolasie, Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Williams, players that gave the team a lot of energy.”
Everton may not have done the transfer business early, but they recruited well and strengthened their team.
The Toffees are doing well in the Premier League at the moment and are in the hunt for a top-six finish in the table.
