Everton are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table.

Ronald Koeman believes that Everton have an advantage in the transfer window this summer, as they look set to qualify for the Europa League.

Speaking at his press conference yesterday, which was broadcasted on Everton’s official Periscope channel, Koeman suggested that the Toffees should be aided in their transfer plans if they finish in the top seven.

The Dutch boss said, when asked if European football would attract more players to Everton: “The first step is to play in the Europa League. Everybody knows that to be part of European football is important for players, but everyone knows that players want to be part of the Champions League.

“What we achieve this season, is maybe the maximum for this season.”

Everton are certain to finish in the top seven of the Premier League table this season.

As things stand, the Toffees are in seventh place – but they have built up a 14 point advantage over West Bromwich Albion, who are directly below them.

Everton have looked impressive in their first season under Koeman’s guidance – but they are expected to invest heavily in the summer transfer window.

Koeman has expressed a desire to push Everton on to the next level, and help them become top four contenders.

Everton have been linked with the likes of Matteo Mussachio, Virgil Van Dijk and Kasper Dolberg (Liverpool Echo).
