Everton are seemingly set to invest heavily in their squad during the summer transfer window.
Ronald Koeman has once again made an exciting hint about the transfers he is planning at Everton in the Liverpool Echo.
The Toffees boss insisted that he has a lot of funds to spend, and he hopes to use that to keep his key players at Goodison Park and bring in some new ones.
Everton are looking to tie down Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley on long-term contracts.
And Koeman has also hinted that he has his sights set on bringing some high profile players to Merseyside this summer.
He said: “Everton now have the resources to keep every player, including Lukaku, who has a contract for another two years.
“I am talking to the owners every week. We want to make the next step with this club towards a higher level.
“A lot is possible here and we want to bring in the best players we can get, players who will help us to play for a place in the Champions League.
“For next season we need a bigger squad anyway as we will be in Europe again. But keeping our best players is a prime target for me. We are doing everything we can to hold on to top players.”
If Everton have genuine plans to qualify for the Champions League, the likelihood is that they have some quality players on their transfer wishlist.
The Toffees are expected to be active in the summer window, with a number of players already being linked.
Everton are said to be interested in the likes of Michael Keane, Wayne Rooney and Joe Hart (Liverpool Echo).
As things stand, Everton have already made progress since Koeman took charge, and are destined to finish in the top seven of the Premier League table.
