Everton have a match against Manchester City next up in the Premier League.
Ronald Koeman has promised that Everton will put out a very strong team against Hajduk Split tomorrow in their Europa League match.
Everton face a play off against the Croatian side to make it into the European competition’s group stages.
The Toffees have lofty ambitions in the Premier League this term, meaning they could have viewed the Europa League as an unwanted distraction.
However, Koeman insists that he is taking the competition seriously, and wants to progress through qualifying.
Everton got to this stage of the Europa League by beating Ruzomberok of Slovakia in the previous round of qualifying.
Koeman’s side’s performance in those fixtures was not particularly inspiring, but they still won fairly comfortably.
Everton also got their Premier League campaign off to a winning start, beating Stoke City 1-0 in their first game.
The Toffees face a tricky game against Manchester City on Monday, after taking on Hajduk Split tomorrow.
