The Everton midfielder blamed the former England boss for his recent Three Lions snub.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has criticised Ross Barkley for blaming Roy Hodgson for his recent England snub, speaking to the Telegraph.
The Blues star was left out of the Three Lions squad last week for the World Cup qualifying clash with Slovakia.
It capped off a disappointing summer on the international stage for him after Roy Hodgson left him sat on the bench throughout Euro 2016.
The midfielder criticised that decision in recent comments, saying he felt it had been a contributing factor to Sam Allardyce leaving him out of his first squad.

But Koeman has criticised those comments, saying you cannot point the finger at somebody else as a player.
“I don’t like that (when a player blames others),” he told the Independent.
“You can’t point your finger at somebody else. You have to ask yourself what you can do better, what you need to improve to be selected. That’s how I think about football.”

It remains to be seen if Barkley’s performances do improve to ensure he does not miss out on the next squad.
He has already been in impressive form for the Blues at the beginning of this campaign and will be keen to keep up that level of performance moving forward.
If he manages to do so, it is hard to see Allardyce continuing to overlook him in future given the undeniable quality he offers.
