Everton’s Idrissa Gueye celebrates scoring their first goal with teammates
Chelsea took one step closer to winning the Premier League title after beating Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Goals from Pedro, Gary Cahill and Willian sealed full three points for The Blues, as Everton fell to their first Premier League home defeat in 2017.
For most part of the game, Everton more than matched the league leaders, and Ronald Koeman, the Everton manager, believes the scoreline was harsh on them.

The Dutchman says that Chelsea were not only clinical in front of goals, which eventually made all the difference, but used their experience to good effect in defending the lead.
Koeman in his post match press conference has praised the performance of midfielder Idridda Gueye who was brilliant in man-marking Chelsea’s Eden Hazard throughout the game.
“He did really well. It is very difficult to mark a play like Eden Hazard. I thought he controlled him, he was aggressive and we stopped one of the strengths of Chelsea today. It was an outstanding performance by Gana,” said Koeman, as quoted by Evertonfc.com.
Gueye was indeed outstanding for the home side on Sunday. He made three tackles, four interceptions, and provided two key passes during the game. Furthermore, he was very good in possession and maintained an enviable 89.4% passing accuracy, according to whoscored.com.
Everton are still seventh in the league, two points behind Arsenal, although they have played two games more than the Gunners.
