Everton had to withstand heavy pressure as they picked up a 1-1 draw away at Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees travelled to the Etihad Stadium in the hope of shocking Pep Guardiola’s league leaders, and it was a battling performance from Ronald Koeman’s men.
After Maarten Stekelenburg had saved a first-half Kevin De Bruyne penalty, Romelu Lukaku breezed past Gael Clichy before firing Everton into a surprise lead.
Stekelenburg saved another penalty, this time from Sergio Aguero, before City did finally grab their equaliser through substitute Nolito.

Everton only had 28% of possession and just three shots on goal, but managed to head back to Merseyside with a point after a valiant performance.
After the final whistle, manager Koeman took to Twitter to react to the result, firstly celebrating a big point and a reunion with his former Barcelona team-mate Guardiola, before thanking the travelling Everton fans for their support.
Everton fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg praised the Toffees players for their battling display, and added that he hopes the players made the fans happy with their performance.
