Everton beat Arsenal 2-1 at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has taken to Twitter to react to his side’s dramatic 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Tuesday evening.
The Toffees entered the game having lost 3-2 at Watford on Saturday evening, taking their run without a win to five games, picking up just two points in that time.

With Arsenal flying having scored 11 goals in their previous three games and won each of those fixtures, few Everton fans went into the game with much optimism – and when Alexis Sanchez’s first-half free kick deflected into the net off Ashley Williams, it looked like Everton were heading towards another defeat.
However, Koeman’s men rallied as Seamus Coleman grabbed an equaliser from Leighton Baines’ cross on the stroke of half time, and that seemed to change the game in Everton’s favour.
The Toffees looked stronger in the second half, and grabbed a dramatic winner as Williams redeemed himself by heading home Ross Barkley’s corner in the 86th minute to hand Everton all three points.

The drama continued deep into added time as Phil Jagielka was sent off for Everton, before a goalmouth scramble ensued with Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech joining the attack, but the Toffees survived to claim the win.
Beating Arsenal took Everton back up into seventh place, and gave Koeman the boost he has been looking for after a tough few weeks for the Dutchman, who has seen his side’s great start to the season fade recently.
After the final whistle, Koeman took to Twitter to send a message to fans, stating that he was not only proud of the players and their performance, but thanked supporters for creating such a great atmosphere at Goodison Park.
Everton fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg also reacted to the victory, claiming it was a massive win, and that he was proud of the fans as well as the Everton players.
