Everton defender Ashley Williams is not playing well at the moment.

Williams is a key figure in the current Everton team, but the Wales international central defender is not playing well.
Much is expected of the 33-year-old, who has been on the books of the Toffees since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Swansea City for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million.

Everton manager Koeman has admitted that the Wales international centre-back is struggling at the moment, and has suggested that he has lost his confidence.
“He is one of the players, who is finding it really difficult at the moment,” Koeman told The Mirror about Williams. “He is trying to find his confidence, but he’s an experienced player for sure.”

Williams has proved himself to be a Premier League-level defender, but his form does need to improve in the coming weeks and months.
The Wales international is 33 years of age, and perhaps it is time for Everton to start looking for a long-term replacement.
Everton will take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League this afternoon.
