Former Rangers star Ronald de Boer has spoken highly of Celtic winger James Forrest to The Sunday Post.

De Boer, who was on the books of Rangers from 2000 until 2004 and remains a fan favourite among the Ibrox fan, believes that Forrest has been in very good form for Celtic and is showing his ability at a high level.

“From middle to front, James Forrest has been in very good form for Celtic, and showing his ability at a high level,” De Boer told The Sunday Post about Forrest.

Quality footballer

Forrest is playing well for Celtic at the moment and has established himself as an important player in manager Brendan Rodgers’s team.

The 27-year-old winger has scored six goals and provided five assists in 11 Scottish Premiership appearances for the Glasgow giants so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.

The Scotland international has also played three times in the Europa League and three times in the Scottish League Cup for the Hoops so far this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.com.

Forrest, who has been at Celtic his entire professional club football career so far, is also an important player for the Scotland national football team.

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment and cold also progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League this season.
