Glasgow Rangers picked up a famous win at Ibrox, with Ryan Kent playing a key role in the victory before the winter break.

In comments reported by The Scottish Sun, Ronald de Boer has suggested that Ryan Kent was the player that stood out during Rangers’ Old Firm win, with the Dutchman admitting that he had not seen the winger play before the Ibrox clash.
Kent was superb when Celtic visited the Gers last month. Steven Gerrard’s side claimed a 1-0 win that should have arguably been more comfortable, and the winger was crucial in the victory.
The Liverpool loanee gave the Hoops a torrid time, and provided the assist for Ryan Jack’s winner with a stunning piece of skill down the left wing during the first-half.
And former Rangers ace de Boer suggested that Kent was the player that he was particularly impressed with from the game having not seen the youngster play previously. He also admitted that he had to look the player up after that display.

“His movement, skill on the ball and pace were all big assets. It’s good Rangers are back where they belong and can give Celtic a challenge.”

Kent has unquestionably proven to be an excellent signing for Rangers. When he is at his best, he looks untouchable and is capable of making a devastating impact.
And during the second-half of the campaign, Gerrard will be hoping that the Gers see the wide-man reach that level on a much more consistent basis, especially now that Rangers seemingly have a title to go after during the coming months.
