Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

The Toffees went down 3-2 to Tottenham away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs took the lead as early as the 20th minute when Harry Kane found the net. The England international striker make it 2-0 to the home team 11 minutes into the second half.

Lukaku halved the deficit for Everton in the 81st minute, but Dele Alli restored Spurs’ two-goal advantage in the second minute of injury time.

Although West Ham United-owned Enner Valencia scored for Everton just a minute later, it proved to be nothing more than a consolation, as Spurs won 3-2.

Lukaku, who joined Everton from Chelsea on a permanent contract in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £28 million, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Merseyside outfit’s defeat.

The Belgium international has highlighted the importance of winning the next two Premier League matches – against West Bromwich Albion and Hull City, both at home.
