Everton striker Romelu Lukaku recently cast doubt over his future at Goodison Park. The Belgian rejected the club’s offer of a new contract as his obsession with playing Champions League football continues.
But he would love to do it for Everton.
Speaking to EASPORTS.com this week the striker stated:
“I want to create history at the club. I want to push for a top four spot and I think we have to aim for this.
“Personally, I just want to improve and become a better player than I am today.”
Those words will certainly come as something of a comfort to the Everton fans, who would hate to see Lukaku go.
He has scored 28 goals in 35 appearances for club and country this season and Everton fans will hope the 23-year-old sticks around in the summer.

That might however mean Everton pulling off something miraculous. The Toffees are currently seventh in the Premier League table and eight points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who also have a game in hand.
With just eight games left in the season for Everton it would appear unlikely that a top four finish is achievable this term.
So whilst Lukaku would love to take Everton into the top four for the first time since David Moyes guided them into the front quartet in 2005 it appears unlikely. The likelihood of him remaining at Everton going forward also appears to be dwindling.
