Romelu Lukaku has shared that he managed to persuade Aston Villa star Ashley Young to speak Italian ‘after six months’ of being at Inter Milan, as he laughed at Micah Richards’ attempt at speaking the language.

The Chelsea-owned player helped Inter Milan reach the Champions League final at the expense of AC Milan on Tuesday night.

After the game, Romelu Lukaku was talking to CBS Sports, alongside Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards, where he proceeded to share that he speaks an incredible ‘seven languages’.

Ex-Villa man Richards spent a short period of time in Italy with Fiorentina and he attempted to speak Italian with Lukaku, whilst standing on the side of the San Siro pitch.

The former right-back left everyone in hysterics when he attempted to communicate with Lukaku, who shared that Ashley Young grasped the language pretty well during his time at the club and he should follow suit.

“Right now I speak seven languages fluently,” said Lukaku.

On what he thinks of Micah Richards’ attempts at Italian: “I mean,” proceeds to laugh.

Richards then attempts to speak Italian in an unconvincing way: “You need to come back to Italy more over the summer,” Lukaku adds.

“He’s trying, which is nice. I had Ashley Young speaking Italian after six months. Ashley was good, you know. Conte was speaking to him in Italian and he was replying.”

ASHLEY YOUNG STILL GOING STRONG

At 37, Ashley Young is proving to the world that age is just a number because he has been outstanding for Aston Villa this season

The Midlands side, who have two Premier League games remaining, are pushing for Europe and Young has played a big part in their form since Unai Emery replaced Steven Gerrard.

Someone like Douglas Luiz or Tyrone Mings might go on to win Villa’s Player of the Year, but Young is certainly in with a shout.
