Tielemans is arguably Europe’s most exciting teenager; so imagine him dovetailing with Lukaku at Everton.

The sight of Romelu Lukaku watching on from the stands as Youri Tielemans whacked home two thunderbolt 25 yarders in Anderlecht’s 4-1 win at Oostende on Sunday evening is enough to send the internet up in smoke on one side of Stanley Park, as reported by DH.

They may be Belgian international team-mates on the pitch and good friends off it but the fact that the 19-year-old wonderkid admitted just a few days ago that Everton could be the ideal environment to help him realise his staggering potential, as reported by the International Business Times, means Lukaku’s weekend trip to Oostende suddenly seems newsworthy.

And not only did Everton’s record signing watch on in awe as Tielemans only served to enhance his reputation with the 15th and 16th goals of his most prolific season to date, he also took time out of his schedule to hand his young protégé a bit of advice.

“I told him he needed to continue like that and score lots of goals,” Lukaku said in quotes reported by DH. “If he manages it, he’ll have a magnificent future. He’s growing on the pitch, and he’s decisive. It’s exactly what he needs to do.

“I think he’s ready to go up a level in his career. He already had his passing and his leadership, now he has goals. We’d already talked about it on international duty, and he’s carried on since. I’m really happy for him.”

The prospect of Belgian wonderkids of the last generation and this linking up at Goodison Park is enough to make even the most realist Toffee indulge in the odd daydream of breaching the gap to the top four.

Tielemans wouldn’t come cheap with the majority of Europe linked at one stage or another but, if his stunning brace against Oostende is anything to go by, he’d be worth every penny.
