Romario Vieira has reiterated his desire for first-team football at Leeds United on Instagram as the clock continues to tick on his Elland Road stay.

The 19-year-old midfielder, twin of first-team star Ronaldo Vieira, is yet to make his first-team debut for the Whites but will have been given hope by Paul Heckingbottom who continues to hand debuts to a handful of young stars.

Hugo Diaz, Tom Pearce, Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Paudie O’Connor have all been given the chance to shine in the first team of late, but Vieira will have more reason than most to be desperate for his debut.

Paul Heckingbottom, Manager of Leeds United looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Fulham and Leeds United at Craven Cottage on April 3, 2018 in London, England.

The youngster has less than three months remaining on his contract and although he has impressed in Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, a new deal is yet to be tabled.

He posted on Instagram, perhaps sending a message to Heckingbottom with the caption: “The more you delay me from my goals, the hungrier you make me.”

Leeds still have four Championship games to play, with the second-tier’s top-six seemingly way out of reach for the Yorkshire giants. They face promotion-chasing Aston Villa on Friday night.

Now way down in 14th place, Heckingbottom will be looking for inspiration from somewhere within his big Leeds squad to ease the pressure and handing Romario Vieira a chance could be just what Leeds require.
