Romario Vieira left Leeds United last summer, but the former Whites youngster has wished the club well ahead of the Championship play-offs.

Romario Vieira has taken to Twitter to wish Leeds United well ahead of the first-leg of their play-off semi-final with Derby on Saturday, with the midfielder insisting that everyone needs to get behind Marcelo Bielsa’s incredible team.

On form, Leeds arguably go into the play-offs as underdogs. The Whites had been in a fantastic position to go on and secure automatic-promotion, but lost three and drew one of their final four games.

West Brom’s defeat to Derby on the final day of the campaign ensured that Bielsa’s men finished third and that Frank Lampard’s Rams would be the team standing between them and a place at Wembley.

The tension has been building over the last week. Leeds have the upper hand over Derby when it comes to previous results, having won 4-1 on the second weekend of the season and beaten them 2-0 at Elland Road in January in what was arguably their best performance of the season.

But Derby securing their play-off spot on the final day of the campaign ensures that they have a lot of momentum, and they clearly have something to prove having suffered defeats on both of the occasions that they have faced Bielsa’s side.

So it really does feel impossible to call which team will end up facing either West Bromwich Albion or Aston Villa in the play-off final, so it is no surprise that there have been a number of rallying cries from the fans and the club itself.
