Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are very happy with how Amad Diallo is doing at Tony Mowbray’s Sunderland at the moment.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has said that Manchester United are “really happy” with Diallo and is pleased with how the 20-year-old winger is developing and progressing at Sunderland.
The Ivory Coast international winger joined Championship club Sunderland from Premier League giants United on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2022.
The 20-year-old had made 11 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Championship for the Black Cats so far this season.
Diallo has scored six goals and given one assist in those games.
Sunderland are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 37 points from 25 matches, 13 points behind Burnley and Sheffield United, who are first and second respectively in the standings.

Manchester United happy with Amad Diallo’s progress at Sunderland
Huge prospect
In our opinion, Amad Diallo is one of the brightest young players around, and his progress at Sunderland is very encouraging indeed.
Sunderland are a massive club and are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League.
Diallo is doing well at the Stadium of Light, and there is no doubt that for Sunderland to finish in the Championship playoffs or to challenge for the automatic promotion spots, the Manchester United-owned younger will have to be on top of his game throughout.
