Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot and Arsenal fans, these may be the three greatest detectives in the world.

Indeed, as many will know, when it is transfer season, Arsenal supporters are incredible at spotting the smallest hints and details about where a player is and when they’re going to sign.

From tracking flights to identifying Gabriel Magalhaes’ car, Arsenal fans are unrivaled when it comes to sniffing out details on their potential new signings, and they’ve been at it again this week.

A tweet went viral from one Arsenal fan this week who believed they’d spotted numerous hints that Mudryk was already in London, stating that he looked like he was wearing hotel slippers in an Instagram post and that the weights he was using were from a UK-based company.

Meanwhile, another fan said that the smoke alarms in his picture were UK-regulated. This is the level of detail Arsenal fans go to.

Sadly though, it seems as though the sleuths of north London weren’t right this time around as Fabrizio Romano has now come out and said on the House of Champions Podcast that Mudryk isn’t in London quite yet.

Mudryk not in London

Romano shared an update on the Ukrainian winger.

“Chelsea are interested in Mykhaylo Mudryk, we know that the player’s priority is Arsenal. He would be more than happy to join Arsenal, but the Gakpo story shows you have to be fast,” Romano said.

“Any updates on where Mudryk is? I know that Arsenal fans on Twitter have been speculating that he’s in a hotel room in London or if he’s close to home?” Romano was asked.

“No, I think he’s not in London yet, he’s waiting for sure, he’s waiting. It’s no secret that he wants to play in the Premier League, it’s no secret that he would love to join Arsenal, it has been clear on his Instagram stories in recent days, but now it’s on Arsenal, they need to find an agreement with Shakhtar,” Romano said.

Matter of time

Whether it’s Chelsea or Arsenal, it may just be a matter of time before Mudryk does come to London for talks.

The race to sign this young man is certainly heating up, and with Arsenal submitting a second bid, it surely won’t be too long before the player does come to the UK for formal talks.

One thing is for sure, as soon as Mudryk arrives on these shores, Arsenal fans will be on it like a flash, scoping out which flight he is on and tracking every move he makes on social media.
