Kenan Yildiz’s situation at Juventus remains uncertain, and Fabrizio Romano has outlined when Chelsea could make a move for the young forward.
The Blues are always searching for emerging talent across Europe, and Yildiz certainly fits that profile.
Already a well-known figure in Turin, the 20-year-old has said he wants to remain with Juventus.
However, a former teammate advised him to reconsider, and it appears he might be listening. The Chelsea Chronicle recently reported that Yildiz’s representatives have reached out to Chelsea after contract talks broke down.
Fabrizio Romano speaks on Kenan Yildiz’s Premier League interest
Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the Turkish international’s future and when Chelsea could expect some movement on a possible deal.
Since his breakout season, Yildiz has been linked with just about every club that could afford him. Chelsea are naturally in the mix, as they tend to be when a top young player is available.

But according to Romano, there’s one outcome that can already be ruled out. He explains: “What I can tell you is that my information is that the real interest is coming from Premier League. Premier League clubs are following and tracking Kenan Yildiz. Premier League top clubs are keeping a close eye on Yildiz.
“Now it’s too early to mention names. This is not a deal for January at all. So this is going to be eventually a topic for the summer. If Juventus won’t be able to reach an agreement with Kenan over a new contract, this depends.”
The battle for Yildiz was always going to draw serious competition, but it appears nothing will happen before the summer window.
Kenan Yildiz could be the final piece to Chelsea’s attack
Chelsea still have areas of the squad that need strengthening before they can start thinking about challenging for titles again.
Defence is clearly the main concern. Enzo Maresca often finds himself short on options because of injuries and suspensions, and there isn’t a dependable partner for Levi Colwill.
The midfield looks solid, though. Cole Palmer, Estevao, and Joao Pedro have all locked down their spots in the lineup.
But the left wing is where they’re lacking. Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho are both talented, but neither has reached Yildiz’s level yet. If you put him into that Chelsea attack, it could be one of the most dangerous in England.
Chelsea supporters will need to be patient based on what Romano has reported. But if a chance does come up to sign him, then they shouldn’t hesitate to go after one of Europe’s top young forwards.
