Liverpool have nothing to worry about with their move for Ryan Gravenberch despite Bayern Munich missing out on Joao Palhinha.

Ryan Gravenberch is still on course to join Liverpool despite Bayern Munich’s move for Joao Palhinha collapsing today.

That is according to both Fabrizio Romano and The Times’ Paul Joyce, who claim that Gravenberch to Liverpool is still on.

Bayern have missed out on signing Fulham midfielder Palhinha despite the Portuguese international being in Germany today for a medical.

Fulham just couldn’t find a replacement in time and with the German window for incoming deals closed, Palhinha’s move is off.

Liverpool fans have been panicking, wondering if Bayern could pull the plug on Gravenberch’s move to Anfield having missed out on Palhinha.

However, Romano claims that sources around the deal have confirmed to him that Gravenberch’s move ‘will be fine’.

Romano highlighted the ‘incredible turnaround’ at Bayern over Palhinha’s move but Liverpool believe all documents for Gravenberch are in place and a deal is imminent.

Romano also adds that the deal is ‘sealed’ and Gravenberch will be a Liverpool player very soon.

Joyce adds that Gravenberch’s move was not dependent on Palhinha, so Liverpool are expected to confirm his arrival later tonight.

Ryan Gravenberch deal collapse would have been cruel for Liverpool fans

This is proving to be enough of a stressful day for Liverpool supporters.

Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad appear to be ramping up their move to sign Mohamed Salah and Liverpool are desperately trying to keep hold of the Egyptian.

Fans continue to fear Salah’s exit but seeing the Gravenberch deal collapse would have been hard to take.

The Reds already missed out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in the last month.

Gravenberch is set to arrive as a new midfielder but until the deal is done, anything could go wrong.

Bayern’s attempts to sign Palhinha have failed but with Gravenberch having no role to play under Thomas Tuchel, it looks like Liverpool fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief.
