Fabrizio Romano says Everton have seen a £25.6million bid rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk this summer, with Arsenal lurking. Romano says that the Ukraine talent’s future is one to watch before the deadline.
Mudryk, 21, joined Shakhtar’s academy at just 16 and has since broken into the first team. Clocking up 28 senior appearances for the Ukrainian giants, Mudryk has laid on 10 assists and scored two goals. He wears the no.10 shirt.
Shakhtar will be playing in this season’s Champions League and has a contract until December 2026. However, Premier League clubs are interested. Romano says Everton had a bid of £25.6million turned down for the no.10 last week.
Romano also reports that Arsenal are considering a move and there is plenty of interest in the five-time Ukraine ace. The well-respected Italian journalist says Mudryk’s situation is one to watch before the end of the summer window.

Arsenal’s interest is not new. Romano himself has reported that Arsenal have made an initial move to sign him, by asking for information. But with a £25.6million bid rejected, it will be interesting to see how much Shakhtar want.
A move to Everton would surely see the Toffees bring in a direct replacement for Anthony Gordon. The England Under-21 star scored for his side against Brentford on the weekend – but continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea.
Arsenal means he would warm the bench somewhat. They have Martin Odegaard, Fabio Vieira and Emile Smith-Rowe. But with the Europa League, there are more chances to get game time. An interesting one to watch, as Romano says.
But with the clock ticking, an agreement will have to be found very soon. Shakhtar are under no pressure to sell given the player’s current contract situation, but his transfer fee will surely be tempting.
