Marcus Rashford joining Tottenham Hotspur has been touted this summer after an agent spoke about the Manchester United player.

According to Roberto De Fanti, Spurs are interested in signing the Red Devil who struggled for form under Ralf Rangnick.

Rashford, who earns £200,000 per week, burst on to the scene back in 2016 but hasn’t been able to replicate his best standard at Old Trafford for a while.

A transfer away from United isn’t unthinkable, but is he going to Tottenham?

Well, Fabrizio Romano says he hasn’t heard anything of the sort.

Romano revealed to Caught Offside that although Rashford is being ‘monitored’ by a number of clubs, none of them have made an approach.

He said: “There’s been a lot written about Marcus Rashford in the last few days, and I can only tell you what my current understanding of the situation is.

“So far I am not aware of a Tottenham proposal for Marcus Rashford. He is certainly a player monitored by several clubs, but there is no negotiation with Manchester United.”

Marcus Rashford joining Tottenham Hotspur?

This one doesn’t make much sense.

Although the Lilywhites have a good deal of money to play around with this summer – £150 million on top of their existing transfer budget, before ENIC injected funds – it seems improbable that Antonio Conte would want the Manchester United attacker.

From 204 Premier League appearances, the player has managed 59 goals and 32 assists.

And although it isn’t a terrible return, it isn’t enough to justify Tottenham spending £200,000 per week on the player, not to mention his transfer fee.
