West Ham United are on the verge of signing Manchester City winger Carlos Borges with a buy-back clause included.
Carlos Borges is on the verge of leaving Manchester City with West Ham United now closing in.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that West Ham now have a ‘verbal agreement’ in place to sign Borges.
Romano claims that the price tag is around £14million with Borges on the verge of heading to East London.
City are though including a buy-back clause in the deal, meaning they can bring him back to the Etihad Stadium down the line if they so wish.
It’s a similar story for James Trafford whilst Romeo Lavia went to Southampton in a very similar move last summer.
West Ham have cash to spend after selling Declan Rice to Arsenal and Borges is one of their first targets.
This would bolster David Moyes’ attacking options, handing West Ham a dangerous winger for years to come if they can get a deal done.

Who is West Ham United target Carlos Borges?
Borges hails from Sintra in Portugal, just outside of Lisbon.
It’s therefore no great surprise that Borges ended up in the youth ranks of Sporting as a youngster.
However, Borges moved on to Manchester City as a young age and has been coming up through the club’s ranks.
Borges has become a regular for City at developmental level and he was in simply ridiculous form last season.

The 19-year-old smashed 29 goals and 18 assists in just 33 games according to Transfermarkt, which is just insane.
Borges has yet to appear for City’s senior side though and West Ham are gambling on him adjusting to Premier League life.
Primarily a left-sided winger, Borges has also played on the right with his blazing speed causing problems for all full backs.
Hailed for his ‘blistering speed’ by the Manchester Evening News, Borges can bring something different to the West Ham attack and will hopefully fulfil his potential at the London Stadium.
