Tosin Adarabioyo will not be joining Monaco this evening as the Fulham defender and Tottenham Hotspur target misses out on a late move.

Tottenham Hotspur target Tosin Adarabioyo will miss out on a move to Monaco before tonight’s transfer deadline.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the deal for Adarabioyo to join Monaco is now ‘off’.

Romano claims that Monaco simply weren’t able to reach an agreement with Fulham to bring Adarabioyo to Ligue 1.

Monaco seemingly wanted to land Adarabioyo to replace Axel Disasi following his move to Chelsea.

Tottenham have been chasing Adarabioyo for much of the summer but they simply weren’t his first choice.

90Min reported earlier today that Adarabioyo was pushing to join Monaco over Tottenham.

That pushing hasn’t worked though with the 25-year-old missing out on his move to Monaco ahead of the transfer deadline.

There may still be time for Tottenham to go for Tosin Adarabioyo

It’s late in the day now but could Tottenham get involved in the race for Adarabioyo again?

Tottenham have been keen to land another defender this summer and Adarabioyo’s name has come up again and again.

The Independent reported earlier this week that the Tottenham hierarchy had really struggled to meet Adarabioyo’s personal terms.

Spurs are pretty desperate now though and may have the chance to come back to the table with a new offer for Adarabioyo.

Fulham may be hoping that Spurs come calling too; RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins suggested in August that Fulham and Marco Silva wanted Adarabioyo to join Spurs.

They wanted to take Eric Dier as part of the deal, a player Spurs are keen to move on before the deadline.

Adarabioyo is now into the final year of his deal and Fulham will want to see before he leaves for free.

With Monaco out of the picture, Tottenham would be wise to come back in and make one last push for Adarabioyo’s signature in the dying stages of the window.
