Tottenham Hotspur have now agreed personal terms with Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz as they close in on his signature.
Alejo Veliz appears to be nearing a move to Tottenham Hotspur having agreed personal terms with the club.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that personal terms have now been finalised.
It’s suggested that a long-term contract is now in place for Veliz, who wants to join Tottenham.
Romano adds that talks are ongoing between Tottenham and Rosario Central in an attempt to thrash out a deal.
This comes just a day after Romano reported that Tottenham are closing in on signing Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven.
Personal terms are also agreed with Van de Ven with Tottenham now looking to pounce for Veliz too.
One of the issues to sort out is just when Veliz would be joining Tottenham.
Rosario want him to see out 2023 in Argentina but reporter Uriel Iugt claims that Veliz’s representatives are pushing to have the deal go through immediately.
Calciomercato reporter Daniele Longo adds that Veliz to Tottenham is now just ‘one step away’ with more talks coming today.
Tottenham appear to be closing in on Veliz, adding one for the future in the process.

Who is Tottenham Hotspur target Alejo Veliz?
Veliz is a physical centre forward at around 6ft 2in tall and has been described as a ‘strapping target man’ by South American football expert Tim Vickery.
That may not sound like a particularly Ange Postecoglou-style player but he did sign strikers of this ilk at Celtic.
Giorgos Giakoumakis was a burly front man and when he departed for Atlanta United, Celtic brought in another physical striker in Oh Hyeon-gyu.

Postecoglou may view Veliz as being a similar kind of player but will accept that he needs to develop a lot before featuring in the Premier League.
19-year-old Veliz has scored 19 times in 62 games for Rosario Central and has scored some hugely impressive headers.
Tottenham are understood to be paying around £13million to sign Veliz and the hope is that he can become a star in the years to come.
