Tottenham Hotspur have no plans to let Giovani Lo Celso leave before the transfer deadline unless they receive an enormous offer.
Giovani Lo Celso looks set to stay at Tottenham Hotspur despite lingering rumours about a potential departure.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Ange Postecoglou is now ‘happy’ for Lo Celso to stay.
It’s stated there has been ‘positive feedback’ on Lo Celso and he is now likely to remain a Tottenham player beyond the transfer deadline.
Romano adds that Tottenham would now need to receive a fairly hefty bid if they were to change their mind on Lo Celso.
The Argentinian spent the last 18 months out on loan at Villarreal before returning to Tottenham.
Many thought that Lo Celso was finished at Tottenham but he impressed in pre-season, raising hopes that he would get another chance.
That hasn’t really happened in the Premier League just yet though as he has managed just 16 minutes of Premier League action across the first three games.
Lo Celso may well believe that he could play more regularly elsewhere but Tottenham seem keen to keep hold of him.

Giovani Lo Celso had a strange night in Tottenham cup exit
Tottenham’s plan may well be for Lo Celso to stay but maybe Tuesday night could change things.
Lo Celso was handed a starting chance against Fulham, replacing James Maddison for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie.
The 27-year-old barely had an impact though and was substituted at half time in favour of young striker Dane Scarlett.

Postecoglou had seen enough and decided to hook Lo Celso with Tottenham 1-0 down at the break.
It hardly bodes well for Lo Celso that Postecoglou wouldn’t even give him more than 45 minutes in a cup tie.
Postecoglou seemingly went into the game with plans to keep hold of Lo Celso but Tuesday’s performance may give the Australian something to think about ahead of the transfer deadline.
