Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson is now expected to secure a move to Al Ettifaq after being given the green light by Jurgen Klopp.

Al Ettifaq appear to be closing in on Jordan Henderson after Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sanctioned the move.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Henderson has accepted Al Ettifaq’s proposal.

Romano claims that there is now an agreement in place and a contract has been agreed.

It’s stated that Henderson spoke to Liverpool boss Klopp about the move – and the German has given the green light.

Klopp was keen to keep hold of Henderson according to 90Min, so the England international must have really wanted to go.

Al Ettifaq are now managed by Steven Gerrard and the chance to join forces with the Liverpool icon once again may well appeal.

Al Ettifaq must still agree a fee with Liverpool but it look increasingly likely that Henderson is now heading to Saudi Arabia.

How much will Jordan Henderson earn at Al Ettifaq?

We’re expecting to see Henderson earn frankly staggering money in Saudi Arabia.

That has been the case for all the big names heading there this summer, such as Karim Benzema. N’Golo Kante and Ruben Neves.

Henderson could be one of the biggest deals yet though if reports are to be believed.

The Daily Mail claim that Al Ettifaq have offered Henderson an eye-watering £700,000-a-week to make the move to Saudi Arabia.

That’s money Liverpool wouldn’t go near to offering Henderson and the 33-year-old seemingly views this as one last huge pay day.

Henderson exit is an emotional and unexpected one

Liverpool have already gone through midfield changes this summer with James Milner, Naby Keita, Arthur Melo and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gone.

Few could have expected Henderson to go though and this move to Saudi Arabia seems to have come around so suddenly.

Signed from Sunderland for £16million way back in 2011, Henderson has now racked up nearly 500 appearances for Liverpool.

Henderson has been has been a key leader for Liverpool for so long now and his departure will leave a huge hole – and spark some anger from sone who can’t believe he is going to Saudi Arabia.
