Defender Nayef Aguerd will not be leaving West Ham United for a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad this month.
West Ham United look set to keep hold of defender Nayef Aguerd despite interest from Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Aguerd to Saudi Arabia ‘won’t happen now’.
Al Ittihad have been targeting a double raid on the Premier League with Sky Sports reporting their interest in Aguerd and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
However, Romano claims that Aguerd is ‘very happy’ at West Ham and the Hammers have no plans to sell him.
David Moyes’ men have rejected offers for Aguerd and are now standing firm with no Saudi Arabia move expected.

Nayef Aguerd exit would have been a disaster for West Ham
Premier League bosses are probably on edge at the moment given that Saudi Arabia’s window remains open.
Their deadline isn’t until September 7th, meaning clubs over there are still pushing to sign Premier League players.
Liverpool have been fending off Al Ittihad for Salah, knowing that losing him would be catastrophic.
Aguerd maybe isn’t at the same level as Salah, but he is still absolutely vital to West Ham as a quality left-sided centre back.
The Moroccan will be key alongside Kurt Zouma or even Konstantinos Mavropanos, and Moyes simply couldn’t afford to lose him.

Liverpool also like Nayef Aguerd
Intriguingly, Al Ittihad are far from the only club to have fancied signing Aguerd.
Goal reported back in March that Liverpool have been showing an interest in Aguerd for the summer transfer window.
The Reds may look to land a left-footed centre back to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s defence in 2024 and Aguerd is one player they like.
Al Ittihad’s dream is seemingly to have Aguerd and Salah featuring together in Saudi Arabia.
Yet if Liverpool firm up their interest in 2024, they could end up turning out together at Anfield.
